Full-Time Compounding Pharmacy Assistant
Location: Kelowna and Okanagan Area
Position Status: OPEN
Salary: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
One of KAN Recruitment's fantastic clients in and around the Kelowna, BC area may be expanding their business and is anticipating having a future opportunity for a Compounding Pharmacy Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. Responsibilities:
In this role, the successful candidate will prepare non-sterile compounded medications (creams, capsules, suspensions, troches, etc.) under the supervision of a pharmacist, while following precise formulas and quality standards.
Responsibilities include preparing non-sterile compounded medications according to established formulas and safety protocols.
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the compounding lab including logging, inventory, and quality control, assisting with labeling, documentation, and patient instruction materials and supporting the pharmacy team.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a compounding pharmacy setting is strongly preferred
A high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and compliance protocols
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency with pharmacy software and basic computer applications
Compensation & Work Environment
Competitive wage based on experience and qualifications ($22-26/hr).
Full-time hours (Monday to Friday, no late evenings or Sundays).
