Office & Accounting Assistant


Location: West Kelowna, BC

Position Status: CLOSED

Salary: $28 - $32/per hour

Our West Kelowna client is looking for an an organized and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in office administration and accounting. They are looking for an Office & Accounting Assistant to join their team and play a key role in keeping the daily operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and record all invoices using Sage 50 accounting software

  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including following up on overdue balances

  • Perform general accounting duties: data entry, reconciliations, financial record-keeping, and government remittances

  • Process payroll: track employee hours and prepare payroll submissions

  • Communicate professionally with clients via phone and email, providing excellent service and accurate information

  • Prepare and manage contract documentation and administration

  • Maintain Health and Safety records and compliance documentation

  • Track jobs and assist with costing and reporting

  • Manage inventory: monitor and order supplies as needed

  • Oversee general office administration: filing, record maintenance, office organization

  • Assist with employee onboarding and maintain up-to-date personnel records

  • Handle phone calls, emails, and correspondence in a professional and timely manner

  • Assist with processing and tracking customer orders

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar office administration or accounting support role

  • Experience with Sage 50 and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • High attention to detail and accuracy
