Office & Accounting Assistant
Location: West Kelowna, BC
Position Status: CLOSED
Salary: $28 - $32/per hour
Our West Kelowna client is looking for an an organized and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in office administration and accounting. They are looking for an Office & Accounting Assistant to join their team and play a key role in keeping the daily operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Process and record all invoices using Sage 50 accounting software
Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including following up on overdue balances
Perform general accounting duties: data entry, reconciliations, financial record-keeping, and government remittances
Process payroll: track employee hours and prepare payroll submissions
Communicate professionally with clients via phone and email, providing excellent service and accurate information
Prepare and manage contract documentation and administration
Maintain Health and Safety records and compliance documentation
Track jobs and assist with costing and reporting
Manage inventory: monitor and order supplies as needed
Oversee general office administration: filing, record maintenance, office organization
Assist with employee onboarding and maintain up-to-date personnel records
Handle phone calls, emails, and correspondence in a professional and timely manner
Assist with processing and tracking customer orders
Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar office administration or accounting support role
Experience with Sage 50 and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High attention to detail and accuracy
