Director of Human Resources
Location: Kelowna, BC or Edmonton, AB

Salary: $130,000 to $150,000 per year
Our productive, dynamic and busy Kelowna client is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Director of HR to oversee critical human resources functions. This key leadership role will support organizational growth and strategy while fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and continuous improvement culture. .
Role Overview:
In this position, you will work closely with executive leadership to drive HR strategies that align with overall business objectives. You will lead a team of HR professionals in talent acquisition, employee relations, workforce planning, and performance management. The role also involves analyzing HR metrics to improve employee engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness. 
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of HR professionals. 
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on HR-related initiatives and organizational culture. 
- Oversee talent acquisition processes, ensuring alignment with workforce planning and business needs. 
- Manage complex employee relations issues and support performance management strategies. 
- Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, regulations, and internal policies. 
- Partner with cross-functional teams, to proactively address workplace challenges. 
- Utilize HR analytics to drive decisions that improve employee satisfaction and organizational performance. - Requirements: 
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles. 
- Demonstrate comfort with analyzing data to drive informed decision-making and ensure optimal outcomes. 
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance, and HR best practices. 
- Proven expertise in talent acquisition, performance management, and employee relations. 
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is an asset. 
- Ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization and lead within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 
- High emotional intelligence, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive matters.
