Health, Safety & Environment Specialist
Location: Kelowna, BC

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year
KAN Recruitment is partnering with a growing agriculture/production organization in Kelowna, BC to hire a Health, Safety & Environmental Specialist. This role is responsible for driving a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting both field and facility operations.
Responsibilities:
Partner with leadership to align operations with safety and environmental standards
Maintain and enhance health, safety, and environmental programs (WSBC compliance)
Lead incident reporting, investigations, and trend analysis with actionable insights
Support JHSC activities, internal audits, and corrective action tracking
Develop and update SOPs, risk assessments, and safety documentation
Conduct site inspections across orchards, facilities, and offices
Deliver safety training and support seasonal workforce onboarding
Coordinate environmental initiatives
Manage safety documentation systems
Requirements:
3+ years in health & safety (agriculture, manufacturing, or similar)
Strong knowledge of WSBC claims and safety compliance
Experience improving safety programs and processes
Highly organized with strong analytical and communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office and reporting tools
Travel between multiple sites required
