Inside Sales Representative

Salary: $57,000 - $63,000 per year
KAN Recruitment is currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative on behalf of a well-established organization in the construction and infrastructure supply sector located in Armstrong, BC. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented customer service professional who enjoys solving problems, supporting customers, and contributing to efficient internal sales operations.
Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through outreach, inbound inquiries, networking, and digital channels.
Assess potential opportunities by determining client needs, timelines, and purchasing authority.
Review project documentation and specifications and assist with takeoffs and cost estimates for tendered work.
Develop a thorough understanding of product offerings in order to effectively communicate value and recommend appropriate solutions to customers.
Participate in negotiations related to agreements, change orders, and contracts.
Apply consultative sales techniques to move opportunities toward successful close.
Process orders, coordinate transportation logistics, negotiate pricing where required, and manage delivery timelines with freight partners.
Prepare estimates and quotations and maintain communication with customers, consultants, and internal production teams to ensure on-time delivery.
Assist with monitoring and maintaining appropriate inventory levels for commodity products at the Armstrong facility.
Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Provide ongoing support by responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and project details using internal systems and reporting tools.
Contribute to tracking performance and market activity for assigned product categories.
Work closely with internal sales, marketing, and operations teams to support revenue goals and optimize sales processes.
Provide backup support to project coordination functions when required.
Requirements:
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail and work ethic
Ability to work independently and follow tasks through to completion
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with ERP systems considered an asset
Understanding of sales and marketing processes
Civil Engineering Technology or Business education considered an asset
Previous experience in construction or civil product sales is an asset
