Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year
KAN Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Engineer on behalf of our client. This remote opportunity is open to candidates based in British Columbia.
In this hands-on role, you’ll deliver IT projects ranging from infrastructure upgrades and cloud migrations to network deployments and cybersecurity implementations. You’ll work closely with technical teams and clients to deliver reliable, secure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Deploy, configure, and migrate servers, networks, workstations, and cloud environments.
Implement Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, and related technologies.
Complete infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, and hardware refreshes.
Configure firewalls, switches, wireless networks, and VPNs.
Implement cybersecurity, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
Troubleshoot technical issues, maintain documentation, and support smooth project handoffs.
Collaborate with the Project Manager to meet project timelines, scope, and quality standards.
Qualifications
At least three years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or technical project implementation.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Windows Server.
Hands-on networking experience, including firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless infrastructure.
Experience with Hyper-V or VMware and familiarity with Azure.
Understanding of cybersecurity, endpoint management, backup, and disaster recovery.
Strong troubleshooting, organization, and client communication skills.
MSP experience, Microsoft certifications, PowerShell skills, and familiarity with ConnectWise, IT Glue, or RMM platforms are assets.
