IT Infrastructure & Alignment Specialist

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
KAN Recruitment is recruiting an IT Infrastructure & Alignment Specialist for a great client in Vancouver, BC.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Senior Systems Administrator who enjoys assessing IT environments, identifying risks, and recommending improvements. Working within a Managed IT Services team, you’ll help keep customer systems secure, reliable, and aligned with established technology standards. This is a remote work from home position.
Responsibilities:
Conduct onsite and remote assessments of networks, servers, Microsoft 365, endpoints, and security.
Identify infrastructure gaps, cybersecurity risks, and recurring technical issues.
Review backups, patching, virtualization, and disaster recovery readiness.
Prepare clear reports, maintain technical documentation, and track improvements.
Collaborate with technical and client success teams to support technology planning and proactive solutions.
Requirements:
3–5+ years of hands-on experience in systems administration, IT infrastructure, or advanced IT support.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Windows endpoints.
Experience with networking, firewalls, VPNs, backups, virtualization, and endpoint security.
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple customer environments and travel to client locations as required.
Assets: MSP experience; ConnectWise, IT Glue, or RMM platforms; Intune or Azure; IT assessments; and relevant technical certifications.
