Car Rental Manager
Location: Kelowna, BC
Position Status: OPEN
Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year
KAN Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and results-driven Car Rental Manager to oversee a busy car-rental operation at Kelowna International Airport.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys developing teams, improving operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and driving business results in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, schedule, and develop supervisors and frontline employees.
Oversee daily rental operations, including customer service, sales, fleet availability, and vehicle readiness.
Resolve escalated customer concerns and maintain high service standards.
Drive revenue through upgrades, protection products, and other rental services.
Monitor fleet utilization, reservations, inventory, vehicle movements, and maintenance.
Manage labour costs, payroll, operating expenses, and performance targets.
Maintain positive relationships with airport partners, corporate clients, and vendors.
Ensure compliance with company policies, airport requirements, and safety procedures.
Requirements:
Three to five years of leadership experience in car rental, hospitality, tourism, automotive, or a similar customer-focused operation.
Proven ability to lead teams in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership, sales, customer-service, and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing schedules, payroll, expenses, and operational performance.
Fleet-management or vehicle-inventory experience is considered an asset.
Previous airport or car-rental experience is preferred.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with an acceptable driving record.
Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
