Salary: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

KAN Recruitment is proud to be partnering with our Edmonton-based client, a well-established organization recognized for its commitment to exceptional customer service, operational excellence, and teamwork. We are currently seeking a Finance Administrator / Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their collaborative and fast-paced environment.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for a variety of financial and administrative functions with a primary focus on Accounts Receivable. You’ll work closely with the finance team to process transactions, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely communication with customers regarding payments and billing.

Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead on Accounts Receivable tasks, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments

  • Process transactions for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Client Billing

  • Manage incoming calls and emails for the AR department and provide excellent customer service

  • Process daily credit card, EFT, e-transfer, and cheque payments

  • Prepare and reconcile daily bank deposits and review cash book activity

  • Audit and interpret daily and monthly account reconciliations

  • Maintain and organize AR inbox communications; respond to customer payment and statement inquiries

  • Perform collection follow-ups for outstanding invoices in a professional manner

  • Investigate and resolve account discrepancies as needed

  • Adhere to internal controls, policies, and procedures within the finance department

  • Provide additional administrative and finance support as required

Requirements:

  • Background or education in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Finance an asset

  • Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality

  • Excellent attention to detail and time management

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Self-motivated with a proactive and professional approach
