Technical Warehouse Associate
Location: Kelowna, BC
Position Status: OPEN
Salary: $50,000 - $55,000 per year
KAN Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and technically capable Technical Warehouse Associate to join a growing operations and warehouse team. This role is responsible for preparing, configuring, testing, and staging printers, multifunction devices, production equipment, and related accessories prior to customer delivery and installation.
The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring equipment is fully functional, professionally prepared, accurately configured, and ready for seamless deployment. Responsibilities
Prepare printers, multifunction devices, scanners, production print equipment, and related accessories for customer delivery and installation
Receive, inspect, unbox, assemble, and stage equipment according to work orders and customer specifications
Review installation notes, configuration requirements, and technical documentation prior to equipment preparation
Install and configure accessories including paper trays, finishers, document feeders, print controllers, stands, fax kits, and other device options
Perform equipment setup, diagnostics, firmware updates, testing, and quality assurance checks
Configure network settings, print drivers, scan settings, address books, and customer-specific device requirements
Test print, copy, scan, and fax functionality to ensure equipment is operating correctly before deployment
Identify shipping damage, missing components, configuration issues, or equipment concerns prior to delivery
Coordinate with Service, Logistics, Delivery, Warehouse, and Technical teams to ensure equipment readiness and installation success
Ensure all equipment is clean, professionally presented, properly labeled, and secured for transport
Complete documentation including serial number tracking, meter readings, quality control checklists, and internal system updates
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and staging environment
Assist with inventory management, equipment movement, shipping, receiving, and warehouse organization
Support equipment returns, demo units, lease returns, trade-ins, and refurbished equipment preparation
Assist with minor troubleshooting, component replacement, and basic repairs when required
Follow safety procedures and best practices related to equipment handling, lifting, electrical connections, and warehouse operations
Provide occasional support with delivery preparation, loading/unloading equipment, and other operational tasks as needed
Requirements
Previous experience with printers, copiers, multifunction devices, scanners, production print equipment, or related office technology is considered an asset
Experience in warehouse operations, technical staging, equipment preparation, delivery support, or field service environments is preferred
Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
Basic understanding of networking, firmware updates, print drivers, scanning, and device configuration is an asset
Ability to read and follow technical documentation, work orders, and installation instructions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable using computers, inventory systems, and service software
Valid driver’s license may be required
Forklift or pallet jack experience is considered an asset

Physical Requirements
This position may require the ability to:
Lift, move, push, or pull equipment and supplies
Stand, bend, kneel, and work around large office equipment
Use hand tools, pallet jacks, carts, and warehouse equipment
Assist with loading, unloading, and staging large devices and production equipment
Perform repetitive tasks related to equipment preparation, cleaning, testing, and documentation
Working Environment
This role is primarily based in a warehouse and equipment staging environment. The position involves working around large equipment, delivery schedules, packaging materials, warehouse traffic, and operational timelines. Occasional overtime may be required based on installation schedules and business needs.
